Late-afternoon light spilling over Grand Canyon walls—when copper cliffs ignite and gold streams into shadowed ravines. Evokes awe and warmth—the hush you feel standing at the rim, bathed in fleeting glow.

Form & Surface:
Hand-shaped wire-mesh surfaced in plaster and texture paste to achieve desired shape. Vertical folds plunge like eroded sandstone strata; a slight flare at the top suggests a sun-drenched rim.

Palette & Finish:
• Base shades of terracotta washes anchor the piece in desert earth.
• Pearlescent gold glazes ride each groove, catching light exactly as sunbeams skim canyon faces.
• Finished with a satin varnish topcoat
